Le sous-traitant électronique a été sélectionné par NCR pour produire des guichets automatiques bancaires, des terminaux de paiement et des caisses automatiques pour le continent américain.
DAYTON, Ohio, USA le 24 janvier 2007 - NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR) a doté Solectron Corporation (NYSE: SLR) d'un contrat de 5 ans pour la fabrication de ses guichets automatiques et terminaux de paiement sur le continent américain et celle de ses caisses automatiques destinées au marché mondial. Dans le cadre de la redistribution récemment annoncée de sa production, NCR transférera sa production américaine sur les sites de Solectron à Colombia, SC; Guadalajara au Mexique et Jaguariuna au Brésil, avant la fin de 2007.
"Etendre notre partenariat avec Solectron nous permet de maintenir nos efforts de compétitivité, de construire une structure de coût cohérente et d'apporter un meilleur service à nos clients tout en rendant disponible le capital nécessaire aux investissements innovatifs." Solectron produit déjà des salles de serveurs Teradata et fournit des services d'intégration de systèmes depuis 7 ans pour la division Teradata de NCR.
